Industry: electric sector
The sector
Copper is the best conductor of electricity and heat of the metals immediately after silver, so it should come as no surprise that more than 50% of it is used for these applications. It is used on every grid at high, medium and low voltage and the conductibility of copper is considered the standard to which other conductors should compare themselves.
Obviously, from this point of view, the greatest use in the electric industry comes in the form of cables, wires and conductive plates for transformers, electromagnets, electric engines, printed circuit boards, etc… so even in the tubing industry we can find interesting uses.
One of these is undoubtedly tubular resistances, assembled in various forms, for water heaters and boilers, often even ironclad, used to heat particularly corrosive liquids.
Furthermore, the production of rod thermostats is also possible. Another interesting sector is the production of highly conductive crimp terminals starting from the tubing.
Sctubes for electric
Even in this sector, SCT is particularly focused on customer requirements; in this specific context, as well as the dimensional specifications, physical status, types of packing, etc….the definition of alloy with which the tubes are produced, is important.
